Fears and Phobias

I’m quite sure that each person has some kinds of phobias or fears. It might be fear of personal uncertainty, arachnophobia, or even dismay concerning falling your session. Nevertheless, I would like to wrap your head around it and let’s reveal the explanation of those two notions mentioned above.

Fear – is a reaction to danger or something that can harm you. For me, it’s more connected with dread of your own, such as change, rejection or loneliness.

And phobia is more profound and serious. You feel it even when there is no threat. I have got one phobia, but I’ll tell you about it a little bit later.

So, hope now you see my point and we’ll move to causes of fears and phobias and solutions how to try to get rid of them. I discern that possibly, there are people who are afraid of nothing and if it is true, I’m certainly jealous and proud of them, for my phobia sometimes makes my life awful.

Hence, my deepest fear is fear of mice. Scientifically it is called musophobia. The reason why I call it ‘deep fear’ is that some of my other scares are rather inconspicuous. For example, fear of darkness, fear of height, or fear of being alone. They are not emerged so greatly while that phobia definitely is. It’s all started when I was a child. One night when I was sleeping I suddenly started screaming and woke up my parents, as it seemed to me that a little mouse was under my pillow. (It wasn’t true, it was just one of my socks) my mom and dad were both shocked and bewildered, for they didn’t expect such cries. Then, such situation happened several times more and stopped. I thought that with becoming an adult, my fear would vanish, but it’s with me so far. When I face my phobia, I’m just galvanized to avoiding it. From time to time, it comes to my head that the best of both worlds would be to have no fear, but probably it’s impossible.

And now, ways to fight it:

1.      Try to escape from it.

2.      When you face it, imagine another pleasant place.

3.      Understand that it’ll not damage you. That’s just your own perception of the situation.

If you really suffer, contact your doctor and talk with him/her about taking more serious actions.
