Purple Hearts
Hello! It's my new post for you. Hope you’ll enjoy reading and have a nice time.
Today I’m gonna to tell you about a movie
that I had watched before… like a month or a little bit more ago. So, if you watch Netflix
and have an addiction to checking latest novelties, I consider this post is
exactly written for you.
Let’s get down to business, the film is
called ‘Purple Hearts’. 💜💜💜
Probably, lots of people have already seen it, as it
was spread among tones of TikTok recommendations and other sources. Nevertheless,
I’d like to share my perceptions and impressions.
On
the off-chance it appeals you, I’ll reveal some
informations about main characters and then describe you a short summary of
plot. Thus, we have two central figures: Cassie
Salazar (who is a waitress and bartender at a bar, she also is another
protagonist’s ‘wife’) and Luke Morrow
(a U.S. soldier and Cassie's ‘husband’). Few other characters I would like to
reveal some information about are Frankie
(Luke's friend and the childhood friend of Cassie), Riley (she’s Frankie's girlfriend), Jacob Morrow Jr. (Luke's brother) and Jacob Morrow Sr. (Luke and Jacob Morrow Jr.'s father).
If you are scared of SPOILERS, please do
not read it!!!
Like now, we are about to make a breakthrough and review few certain and possibly pivotal moments.
Cassie has been diagnosed with diabetes. She
has lack in money but tries her utmost so that to afford herself buying
insulin. The girl is in a tight corner, as her condition starts to deteriorate.
When she was on-duty and serving a group of boys who are soon going to be sent
to Iraq, she first met Luke but they don’t get along. His life also doesn’t
seem to be a piece of cake, because after his mum died he became addicted to
drugs and lost his marbles. He is clean now, but he owes money and should pay off
his debt as soon as possible.
Then Cassie makes a proposal to her friend
Frankie to get married and get some money, though he refuses and explains it as
he’s gonna to marry another girl. First thing, Luke discourages them but then
he considers his own and Cassie’s problems and proposes her to get married. They
agree to commit that ‘crime’ before his departure and declare about divorce a
year later. They pretend to be real lovers so that to make everyone believe in
their love and foremost they have a success.
After Luke’s deployment they start exchanging emails and having video calls in order not to seem suspicious. One day Cassie receives a call and gets an information about her husband: he has been injured and comes back to be treated. Afterwards, it becomes known that Frankie was killed in action. At his funeral, Cassie gives Riley (Frankie’s girlfriend) the ring he gave her at their marriage with Luke.
When Luke return, he moves his ‘wife’s’ flat and they try to do all the possible so it has a look of their family nest. Johnno (dealer) threatens Cassie’s mother, as Luke still has a debt. Then Luke has a fight with that dealer who informs Cassie’s mother with his past. Cassie demands a divorce when she finds out about all these things. Luke is arrested for their fraudulent marriage. At his trial, he takes full responsibility and says that Cassie is not guilty. Luke is sentenced to six. Cassie becomes a really notable singer and performs a lot. After one of the shows, she understands that it is not too late to cry over spilt milk and she decides to rush to make a declaration of love for Luke before he is sent off. He felt gobsmacked when saw her there. When Luke is released from a prison, he and Cassie have a happy marriage. 💜
I felt ineffable
joy while watching the last minutes of this movie, as sometimes it implied to
me the thoughts that it was going to have a bad end, though it was definitely
cute and gave me a nice impression.
I anticipate that you without a doubt
liked that short summary and now are willing to watch it.
Thanks for your precious attention! 💫
I haven't seen it yet. I guess this weekend is THE time!
